African American Living Museum
I am honored to have attended the 2nd Annual Farrell Area High School Living Museum, an event inspired by The Fred Somerset Memorial Scholarship Program’s Legacy Cultural Project. Our incredible students have dedicated themselves to creating exhibits and curating events that celebrate African American history and the figures who inspire them. Their commitment to preserving and sharing this rich heritage is truly commendable. Seeing their passion and creativity in action reaffirms the importance of empowering the next generation to lead with knowledge, pride, and purpose.
Inspired by the Fred Somerset Memorial Scholarship Program Legacy Cultural Project, we invite you to join us at the Hope Center for Arts and Technology in Sharon, Pennsylvania, for a powerful journey through history, culture, and resilience at the African American Living Museum, created by the 10th-grade class of Farrell Area High School.
Join us on February 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., as students bring history to life, showcasing the impact of African American leaders, trailblazers, and change-makers.
This project reflects our commitment to education, cultural awareness, and community empowerment, ensuring that the stories of perseverance and triumph continue to inspire us all. @the.somerset.program
We look forward to seeing you there!
